BREAST REDUCTION WITH THE NEWEST TECHNIQUE
CHEST SURGERY WITH LOW SCAR
Apart from AESTHETIC problems, hard fat, neck pain, wound due to bra strap, impaired living comfort due to scar-redness on the side-bottom part of the breast tissue are the reasons that require this surgery.
The operation is to remove breast fat tissue, glandular tissue and skin to a certain extent. The breast is large, sagging or of different sizes for various reasons. Apart from AESTHETIC problems, back pain, neck pain, wound due to bra strap, and impaired life comfort due to scar-redness on the side-bottom part of the breast tissue are the reasons that require this surgery. Breast reduction surgery can be performed at any age.
Before performing this surgery, the first things that should be discussed with the doctor during the preparation phase are;
* The breast grows under the influence of hormones during the development period, pregnancy and breastfeeding. Your doctor would prefer that growth has stopped.
* If there is a previous operation on the breast (may be due to cancer) or infection, there may be a deficiency or complete loss of the breast due to these diseases and to bring this breast to an acceptable size and also to make both breasts similar in shape and size by planning an operation on the other disease-free breast. It may be necessary.
* Mammography and breast USG are performed.
* The TECHNICAL method of the operation to be performed is discussed. When we discuss the details face to face, the size of the breast and the level of sagging will be a guide and the technique to be used will be decided.
When evaluating the patient before the surgery, the distance and shape of the breast from the shoulder to the nipple determine the surgical method to be performed and the scar that will be formed depending on the method. Among these methods, I prefer the newest and most modern technique, which is most often called “Vertical technique”, and if necessary, I apply “liposuction”.
In this technique, there is a single scar extending from the nipple down. The scar tissue will be shorter and another important advantage is that the size of the newly formed breast will be reduced and the lower breast level will be moved up by 2 cm, and a more UPRIGHT and FULL but not saggy breast image will be obtained, different from the old breast shape.
In patients with large breast tissue, whom we call Morbid Obese, liposuction is necessary because there is excessive fat with folds in the breast and surrounding tissue, and I even perform liposuction from the armpit to the back to achieve good results throughout the body. Then, I perform a breast reduction or sagging operation (without removing tissue), that is, a lift operation. Since the excess on the sides is gone, I can obtain upright breasts by adding liposuction instead of breasts that are buried in fat tissue but cannot stand upright.
For TRACE;
It can be used with a material called Silicone sheet that we give after these surgeries and a cream for scars.
Or it is protected with tapes called Omnisitrip. It is comfortable when taking a bath and does not open, and it puts pressure on the wound.
