DEVIATION NOSE CURVATION AND ITS TREATMENT
Shifting and curvature of the nasal bone are very common causes of nasal congestion. The smoothness of this structure, which is also called the nose pillar and medically called the septum, is the first condition for healthy breathing. The medical name for nasal bone displacement or curvature is Septum Deviation. The treatment is surgery. With the surgery called septoplasty, the crooked parts of the septum are corrected without removing them, and the septum is brought to the ortholine, ensuring that both nasal passages are open.
No tampons are used with the technology. It makes the transition to daily life easier.
BREATHING OPERATIONS
AIR is our source of life. The nose is a very important organ for the continuity of this source of life.
Nasal breathing is essential for a healthy respiratory function and a healthy body. The nose is not just an organ through which air enters and exits. The nose moistens and warms the air after breathing, ensures that our voice is unique to us, ventilates our ears, and allows us to smell. Especially since the nose structure of the people of our country is bony and allergic diseases are common in most people, nasal congestion occurs. It is one of the most common complaints we encounter. If this problem is not solved in patients with long-lasting nasal congestion, it causes very serious health problems.
In short, nasal congestion seriously impairs the patient’s quality of life and may cause advanced health problems if not intervened in time.
Sliding (deviation) in the nasal bone, lower nasal concha, adenoids, intranasal polyps, narrowing of the nasal roof (valve narrowing) are the causes of breathing problems. Each or several of them together may cause nasal congestion.
Patient with nasal congestion; forced to constantly breathe through the mouth; Frequent recurrent throat infections occur and chronic pharyngitis develops. Snoring and sleep disorders develop. It aggravates lung and heart problems. Dry mouth develops in the morning. Sexual dysfunction occurs. There is a tendency to develop psychological problems. These patients especially complain of being irritable. Voice quality deteriorates and nasal speech develops. Children may have bedwetting problems at night.
As can be seen, nasal congestion seriously impairs people’s quality of life.
All of these operations are performed together with plastic surgery.
MEAT GROWTH
Flesh growth in the nose is a very important and common cause of nasal congestion. There are three pieces in the nose: lower middle and upper nasal concha. While nasal congestion develops as the lower nasal concha grows, frequent sinusitis attacks and a tendency to chronic sinusitis develop as the middle nasal concha grows. Adenoid enlargement is the growth of tissues called adenoids, which are located behind the nose and prevent infections by producing the body’s defense cells, and create nasal congestion by blocking the back of the nose. Although this condition is frequently seen in children, it can also be observed in adulthood in patients who were neglected in childhood and were not operated on in time.
Surgery to be performed on the nasal concha; It should be protective (by protecting the sheath called mucosa that surrounds the nasal flesh) and partial, not destructive and aimed at the entire nasal flesh. The reason for this is that the nasal flesh and the sheath surrounding the nasal flesh have an important place in the function of the nose.
Polyp is the formation of gel-filled flesh resembling grapes in the nose for an unknown reason. In addition to nasal congestion, these also cause sinusitis. The treatment of this condition is endoscopic surgery and subsequent steroid treatment in very large and widespread cases.
NOSE SIDE WALL WEAKNESS. If there is not enough support on the side walls of the nose, the patient cannot breathe through the nose due to the collapse of the nose wings during breathing. This condition may be congenital or developmental, or it may occur after a previous surgery. The treatment of nasal valve stenosis is also surgical and the side walls of the nose are again damaged. The cartilages taken from inside the nose need to be restructured by placing them in appropriate places at appropriate angles.
